Candy cane 'heart' design on front of bowl, with red and green design around top of stem and red and white design around bottom of stem.
Signed under candy canes, engraved signature on under part of pedestal (or base), and Kosta Boda sticker on pedestal (see photos).
In very good condition with no chips, cracks, or missing/faded paint - each glass pings nicely.
25cm (9.84") tall.
Flute holds 177.4 ml (6 oz) comfortably.

Ulrica Hydman Vallien made her debut as a glass-artist in 1972. As a protest against the conservative artist world she create the "rat bowl". Hydman Vallien was one of only 50 artists chosen to work with British Airways to create designs for aircraft tails, napkins, porcelain, tickets and stationery for the fleet. She also took part in the Swedish National Museum exhibition Unga tecknare 1964–1966.
Hydman Vallien's work can be seen at Nationalmuseum, Moderna Museet, Kalmar Konstmuseum and Göteborgs Konstmuseum.
As a tribute, Ulrica Hydman Valliens gata is a street named after her in Åfors, Sweden.
She died in Eriksmala on 21 March 2018, three days before her 80th birthday. - wikipedia

“This is not machine-made production,” says Hydman-Val-lien, emphasizing that although it’s serial production, it’s still handmade. She’s adamant about the quality , and checks from time to time that nothing slips in the design process. “You have to see that this is me,” she says but explains that she shares the credit with her people, allowing them to put their own signatures on as well. -

What do I do if an item arrives broken?

Do not return the item back to us, or discard the item or any of the packaging. Take pictures of the broken item, the packaging, and, if possible, the postage label with address, and send these photos to us in email or Etsy message. These are very important for insurance and refund purposes.
